x and y be the numbers
x.x+y.y=13. ---(i)
x.y=6,. x.x+y.y=36
using formula,(a.a-b.b)^2=(a.a+b.b)^2-4a.a.b.b
(x.x-y.y)^2=(x.x+y.y)^2-4x.x.y.y
(x.x-y.y)^2=13^2-4(36)
x.x-y..y=√169-144
x.x-y.y=5. ----(ii)
on solving (I) and (ii),you will get the answer
