Answer:

1 : 1

Explanation:

let the mass of the 1st part be m

and the mass of the 1st part be M-m

F = Gm(M-m)/d²

F' =dF/dm = G(M-2m)/d² = 0

m = M/2

the ratio of masses =  M/2 :  M/2 = 1 : 1

(¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-> Solution <-.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯)

Let the mass of the block is M

Mass of one part is m

Mass of another is M-m

Force between the Blocks

F = G(m)(M-m)/

F = GMm/ - Gm²/....(1)

For F to be max df/dm has to zero

Differentiate (1) with respect to m

dF/dm = GM/ d(m)/dm - {G/}d()/dm

dF/dm = GM/(1) - {G/}(2m)

put df/dm=0

0 = GM/d²(1) - {G/d²}(2m)

0 = Gd²(M - 2m)

M = 2m

Hence ratio of both masses....M-m/m

2m-m/m = 1 : 1
