Answer: hcf (a ,b)= x y^2

lcm ( p,q ) = a^3b^2

Step-by-step explanation:

1.   we know a and b . hcf basically means to find common .

so, ATQ

a= x^3y^2

b=xy^3

hcf (a,b) = xy^2

2. again we know p and q . lcm means highest degree of the polynomials

in p and q , the highest degree of a is a^3  and that of b is b^2
