Answer:

27 or - 72 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the digits be x and y .

The product of the digits is x y .

x y = 14

= x = 14/y ......( 1 )

The 2 digit number can be written as 10 x + y .

For example :

24 = 2 × 10 + 4 .

36 = 3 × 10 + 6 .

Digits are interchanged .

This means that the number becomes 10 y + x .

Given :

10 x + y + 45 = 10 y + x

= 9 x - 9 y + 45 = 0

= x - y + 5 = 0

From 1 we get :

14/y - y + 5 = 0

= ( 14 - y² + 5 y ) = 0

= y² - 5 y - 14 = 0

= y² - 7 y + 2 y - 14 = 0

= y ( y - 7 ) + 2 ( y - 7 ) = 0

= ( y - 7 )( y + 2 ) = 0

y can be 7 or - 2 .

x = 14/y

= x = 14/7 = 2

or x = 14/-2 = - 7

Number = 10 x + y

Either :

10(2) + 7

= 20 + 7

= 27

Or :

10(-7) + (-2)

= - 70 - 2

= - 72 .

Hence the 2 numbers are 27 or - 72 .
