In bcc lattice,
Effective number of atoms is :-
8*1/8(corners) + 1(body center) =2,
So density = 2*mass of atom /a^3
Now, density d = 530 kg/ m^3,
Molecular weight = 6.94 g/mol
= 6.94 * 10^-3 kg/mol
weight of one atom = molecular weight / Na
Na = 6.02*10^23 /mol
a = edge length in m
So,
Put in the formula,
530kg/ m^3 = 2* ( 6.94 *10^-3 kg/mol / 6.02*10^23 mol^-1 ) / a^3
a^3 = 43503 * 10 ^-33
a = 352 * 10^ - 12 m
a = 352 pm
