Answer:

Given :BD divides the diognals AC in ratio 1:2

To Prove: Dc =2AB

Proof: in ∆AOB and ∆COD

angle OAB =angle OCD{Alternate angles are equal as AB||CD}

angle AOB =angle ODC{alternate angles are equal as AB|| CD}

Therefore,∆AOB= ∆COD by AAA similarity

Now as both the triangles are similar, we can say that,

AO/OC= AB/CD

AO/OC=1/2(given)

We can say that

AB /CD= 1/2

and therefore by multiplying CD= 2AB

Hence ,Proved
