Step-by-step explanation:

☑ let us consider the ages of two brothers are x and y (present ages) therefor present ages are

x / y = 1/2

here, y = 2x ..........(1)

☑ 5 years back the ratio was 1:3

➡(x - 5)/ ( y - 5) = 1/3

➡(x - 5) 3 = 1 ( y - 5)

➡3x - 15 = y - 5

➡3x - 15 =( 2x)- 5

➡3x - 2x = -5 + 15

x = 10

☑ put x = 10 in equation (1)

➡y = 2(10)

y = 20

☑ so, the present ages are x = 10 and y = 20

we have to find ratio of their ages after 5 years

therefor,

(x + 5 )/ ( y + 5) =( 10 + 5)/ (20+ 5)

= 15 / 25

= 3 /5

c option is correct 3:5

Answer:

Answer: C

Step-by-step explanation:

Discuss it below

Let the two brothers be X and Y

Given: The ratio of the present ages of X and Y is

1:2

Let the present age of X be x years

Let the present age of Y e 2x years

. X: Y

X 2x

Given 5 years back (before), the ratio was 1:3

x-5 1:2x-5 3

X-5/2x-5 = 1/3

3 (x-5) 2x-5

3x-15 2x-5

3x-2x-5 +15

X10

x = 10

To find The ratio of their ages after 5 years

X+5 ?:2x 5 ?

10+5=15:2(10 )+5 =25

15: 25 = 3:5
