(i) In the story 'Packing' by Jerome K. Jerome, the character Jerome was doubtful about whether he had packed his toothbrush within the bag Or not .
He remembered this when he had already packed his bag for a second time.
He unpacked all the items by taking it all out and searched thoroughly for it when he finally find it in a boot which was also packed.
(iv) High above the city on a tall column stood the statue of the Happy prince. He was gilded all over with thin leaves of fine gold, for eyes he had two bright sapphires, and a large ruby glowed on his sword hilt.
(iii) Abdul Kalam was born in a family who did not have proper financial conditions and so to support his family, he took odd jobs to warn money like sell newspapers, he would help his old father by fishing with him and help his mother in kitchen while cooking as well and so on.

(v) He saw the havoc caused by the rain and flood.there was water everywhere. He had to use his stick to locate the road. At some places it was waist deep and the progress was slow. Sometimes he lost the road and had to swim. After some distance he found two friend of his uncle. They decided to move ahead together.He saw the villages swept away by the flood. Bloated animal carcasses and human corpes floated in every direction.All round even huge old trees had fallen. A ranging deadly brown sheet of water covered everything as far as the eye could see only factured cement houses still stood in a few places.
(ii) The poet gives numerous examples to show that all the people are same.
a. all humans look alike.
b. the earth is the same.
c. life and death are alike to humans in all places.
d. Natural resources like sun, air and water are used alike.
e. People are happy during peaceful times and tense during war.
(vi) The intruder was a jewel thief and a murderer. He desire to kill Gerrard as he wanted to take his identity. As gerrard had the same hight, build and the features as the intruder and gerrard also lived alone in a lonely cottage out in a forest so the intruder wanted to use the place for relaxing after eliminating gerrard.
