Answer:

3x - 2y = 9.5 equation (i)

&

4x + 3y = 7 equation (ii)

or, 4x = 7 - 3y

or, x = (7 - 3y) / 4 equation (iii)

substitute the value of x = (7 - 3y) / 4 in equation (i) we can write,

3x - 2y = 9.5

or, 3 × (7 - 3y) / 4 - 2y = 9.5

or, 21/4 - 9y/4 - 2y = 9.5

or, (21 × 1 - 9y × 1 - 2y × 4) / 4 = 9.5

or, 21 - 9y - 8y = 9.5 × 4

or, - (9y + 8y) = 38 - 21

or, - 17y = 17

or, y = - 17/17

or, y = - 1

put the value of y = -1 in equation (iii) we can write,

x = (7 - 3y) / 4

or, x = (7 - 3 × -1) / 4

or, x = (7 + 3) / 4

or, x = 10/4

0r, x = 2.5

Answer:- x = 2.5 and y = - 1
