By Pythagoras theorem, we get

⇒ PR² = PQ² + QR²

⇒ (25 - QR)² = PQ² + QR²

⇒ 625 + QR² - 50QR = PQ² + QR²

⇒ 625 - 50QR = 5²

⇒ 625 - 25 = 50QR

⇒ 600 = 50QR

⇒ QR = 12


∴ PR + QR = 25 cm.

⇒ PR + 12 = 25

⇒ PR = 13 cm.


(i) sin P

= QR/PR

= 12/13.


(ii) cos P

= PQ/PR

= 5/13


(iii) tan P

= sin P/cos P

= (12/13) * (13/5)

= 12/5
