Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN ⤵️

the cost of an article was 15500ruppes.450rupped were spent in its repairs .if it is sold for a profit of 15%,find the selling price of the article.

solution ☞

cost price of the article =15500rupppes

he spent on repairs =450ruppes

then the total price he used =15500+450=15950ruppes

profit =15%

therefore , selling price =cost price +cost price×profit ÷100=15950+15950×15/100=18342.5rupes

formula for this type of math:-

cost price =selling price - profit

selling price=cost price + cost price ×profit ÷100

profit =cost price ×profit percentage ÷100
