We have the expression for frequency.

\sf{\nu=\dfrac {1}{2\pi}\sqrt {\dfrac {g}{l}}}

From this we get,

\sf{\nu\propto\dfrac {1}{\sqrt l}}

Then we get the following equation,

\sf{\dfrac {\nu_2}{\nu_1}=\sqrt {\dfrac {l_1}{l_2}}}

In the first case, \sf{l_1=1\ m.}

In the second case, \sf{l_2=1-\dfrac {1}{4}=\dfrac {3}{4}\ m.}

Hence,
