Multiply by 3 to equation (2)
6x+18y=15xy. ........(3)
Equation (1)-(3)
6x-2y=5xy
–6x+18y=15xy
≈ -20y≈–10xy
≈x=–20y/–10y
x=2
Put, x=2 in equation (1)
6x-2y=5xy
6×2-2y=5×2×y
12-2y=10y
12=10y+2y
12=12y
y=1
Therefore x=2,y=1.
2x+6y=5xy. .......(2)
Multiply by 3 to equation (2)
6x+18y=15xy. ........(3)
Equation (1)-(3)
6x-2y=5xy
–6x+18y=15xy
≈ -20y≈–10xy
≈x=–20y/–10y
x=2
Put, x=2 in equation (1)
6x-2y=5xy
6×2-2y=5×2×y
12-2y=10y
12=10y+2y
12=12y
y=1
Therefore x=2,y=1.
