(i)

(4/x) - (9/y) = -1

⇒ 4y - 9x = -xy

⇒ 9x - 4y = xy

(ii)

(15x/2) - 5y = 0

⇒ 15x - 10y = 0

On solving (i) * 5 & (ii) * 2, we get

45x - 20y = 5xy

30x - 20y = 0

15x = 5xy

y = 3

Substitute y = 3 in (i), we get

⇒ 9x - 4y = xy

⇒ 9x - 12 = 3x

⇒ 6x = 12

⇒ x = 2

Thus, the values are x = 2 & y = 3.
