Answer:

x+y = 7 => x+y-7=0

2x-3y = 11 => 2x-3y-11=0

then by cross multiplication method

 \frac{x}{1\times(-11)-(-3)\times(-7)} \\ =\frac{y}{- 7\times2-(-11)\times1}\\  =  \frac{1}{1\times(-3)-2\times1}

 \frac{x}{ - 11 - 21}  =  \frac{y}{ - 14 + 11}  =  \frac{1}{ - 3 - 2}

 \frac{x}{ - 32}  =  \frac{y}{ - 3}  =  \frac{1}{ - 5}

let \:  \frac{x}{ - 32}  =  \frac{1}{ - 5}

x =  \frac{32}{5}

let \:  \frac{y}{ - 3}  =  \frac{1}{ - 5}

 y=  \frac{3}{5}
