Solve using formula method
x {}^{2}  + 6x + 5 = 0

Answer:

x2+6x+5=0

factor are 5 and 1

(x2+5x)+(1x+5)=0

x(x+5)+1(x+5)=0

(x+1)(x+5)=0

x=-1

x=-5

 {x}^{2}  + 6x + 5 = 0 \\  \\  =  >  {x}^{2}  + x + 5x  + 5 = 0 \\  \\  =  > x(x  + 1) + 5(x + 1) = 0 \\  \\  =  > (x + 1)(x + 5) = 0 \\  \\  =  > x + 1 = 0 \:  \: or \:  \: x + 5 = 0 \\  \\  =  > x =   - 1 \:  \:  \:  \: or \:  \:  \: x =  - 5
