Answer:9

i) 10 cm  ii) 24 cm  iii) 12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

i) given:- a=8 cm   and   b= 6 cm

by Pythagoras Theorem

= c^{2} = a^{2} + b^{2}

= c^{2} = 8^{2} + 6^{2}

= c = \sqrt{100}

= c = 10 cm

ii) given:- c= 25 cm   and   b= 7 cm

by Pythagoras Theorem

= a^{2} =  c^{2} - b^{2}

= a^{2} = 25^{2} - 7^{2}

= a = \sqrt{576}

= a = 24

iii) given:- c= 13 cm   and   a= 5 cm

by Pythagoras Theorem

=  b^{2} =  c^{2} - a^{2}

= b^{2} = 13^{2} - 5^{2}

= b = \sqrt{144}

= b = 12 cm

Answer:

(i) 10cm

(ii) 24cm

(iii) 12

Step-by-step explanation:

For pythagoras theorem, we will use:

a^2+b^2=c^2

(i)

8^2+6^2= c^2\\64+36= c^2\\100=c^2\\c= \sqrt{100}\\ c= 10

(ii)

a^2+7^2= 25^2\\a^2+49= 625\\a^2=625-49\\a= \sqrt{576}\\ c= 24

(iii)

5^2+b^2= 13^2\\25+b^2= 169\\b^2=169-25\\b= \sqrt{144}\\ c= 12
