Comparing equation by ax² + bx + c = 0

:. a = 1 b = -3 c = 1

5² - 4ac = (-3)² - 4x1x1.

= 9 - 4

=5

x = - b ± √b² - 4ac / 2a ----- Formula

:. x = -(-3) ± √5 / 2x1

:. x = 3 + √5 / 2 (or) x = 3 - √5 / 2

:. Roots of the given equation are 3+√5 / 2, 3-√5 / 2
