using the value of x in equation 2 we get

(10y - 12) / 27 + y/2 = 13/6

( 20y - 24 + 27y ) / 54 = 13/6

6( 47y - 24 ) = 54 * 13

282y - 144 = 702

y =( 702 + 144 ) / 282 = 3

using the value of y in equation 3 we get

x = 30 - 12 / 9 = 2
