let x is equals to 3 minus 5 y / 5
putting in equation number 1
2 *3 minus 5 y/ 5 + 7 y is equals to 39
6 - 10 y upon 5 + 7 y is equals to 39
by taking lcm
6-10y/5+35y/5=39
6+25y/5=39
6+25y=195
25y=195-6
25y=189
y=189/25
y=7.56
y=8
putting equation number 2
5x+40=3
x=-57/5
x=-11.4
