Let, the number from which \frac{-33}{8}  is to be divided be 'x'

So, when we divide \frac{-33}{8} by x we get \frac{-11}{2}

Forming an equation to compute, we get -

\frac{-33}{8} ÷ x = \frac{-11}{2}

→ transposing \frac{-33}{8} to RHS, we get its reciprocal i.e, \frac{-8}{33} multiplying by \frac{-11}{2}  :-

x=\frac{-11}{2} *\frac{-8}{33} \\\\x=\frac{-11*-8}{2*33} \\\\x=\frac{88}{66} \\\\x=\frac{4}{3} \\

\frac{4}{3} is the required number from which when \frac{-33}{8} is divided we get the result as \frac{-11}{2}
