(Length of segment AC)² = (10 - 4)² + (11 - 3)² = 100

Length AC = 10

We need the point B (p, q) which divides the line joining A (3.4) and C( 11, 10) in the ratio =  1 : 3

So   p = (1*11+ 3*3)/(1+3) = 5  

     q = (1*10 + 3 * 4) /(1+3) = 11/2

SO B is (5, 11/2)
