(x-1)+(5x -5)+(9x-9)+(4x-4)=1\\\\(x+5x+9x+4x)+(-1-5-9-4)=1\\\\(x+5x+9x+4x)-(1+5+9+4)=1\\\\(19x)-(19)=1\\\\19x=1+19\\\\x=\frac{20}{19}

(x-1)+(5x-5)+(9x-9)+(4x-4) = 1

Taking out common factors

1(x-1)+5(x-1)+9(x-1)+4(x-1) = 1

Taking (x-1) as common

(x-1)(1+5+9+4) = 1

(x-1)(19) = 1

19x - 19 = 1

19x = 1 + 19

19x = 20

x = 20/19

Hope this helps and if it did then do tell me
