 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}  - 4x + 4 + 1 = 2x - 3

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}  - 6x + 8 = 0

 \sf  \implies {x}^{2}  - 2x - 4x + 8 = 0

 \sf  \implies x(x - 2) - 4(x - 2) = 0

 \sf  \implies (x - 4)(x - 2) = 0

Therefore, either x-4=0 or x-2=0

So,

x=2,4

Hence, the roots of the given quadratic equation are 2 and 4.
