Answer:

(a + b)^3  =  a^3 + 3*a^2*b + 3*a*b^2 + b^3

Substitute x for a and 2 for b.

(x + 2)^3=  x^3 + 3*(x^2)*(2) + 3*(x)*(2^2) +2^3

=  x^3 + 6x^2 + 3*(x)*(4) + 8

=  x^3 + 6x^2 + 12x + 8

Hope this helps.

Have a nice day !

(*(a + b)^3  =  a^3 + b^3 + 3ab(a + b) you can use this formula too , mate ).

SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

 {(x + 2)}^{3}

FORMULA TO BE IMPLEMENTED

We are aware of the identity that

(a + b)³ = a³ + 3a²b + 3ab² + b³

EVALUATION

 {(x + 2)}^{3}

 =  {x}^{3}  + 3 {x}^{2}  \times 2 + 3 \times x \times  {2}^{2}  +  {2}^{3}

= x³ + 6x² + 12x + 8
