(x + 2  +  \sqrt{3} )(x + 2 -  \sqrt{3} )

( {x + 2)}^{2}  - ( { \sqrt{3} )}^{2}

 {x}^{2}  + 4 + 4x - 3

 {x}^{2}  + 1 + 4x

 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 1

Answer:

x = -2 + √3

x = -2 - √3

Step-by-step explanation:

>> (x + 2 + √3) (x + 2 - √3)

>> [(x + 2) + √3] [(x + 2) - √3]

Using Formula (a + b) (a - b) = a² - b²

>> (x + 2)² - (√3)²

Using Formula (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

>> (x² + 4x + 4) - 3

>> x² + 4x + 4 - 3

>> x² + 4x + 1

Using Quadratic Formula:

>> x = -2 + √3

>> x = -2 - √5
