Given
x^{2/n} + 6 = 5x^{1/n}

(x^{1/n})^2  + 6 = 5x^{1/n}

Let  x^{1/n}=p

The equation changes to

p^2 + 6 = 5p

p^2 - 5p + 6 = 0

On solving the quadratic equation, we get

p = 2, 3

x^{1/n}=2 or 3
