x + 2y = 13 \: and \: 4x + 8y = - 9

4x + 8y = 52 \: and \: 4x + 8y = - 9

Subtracting both equations,

4x - 4x + 8y - 8y = 52 - ( - 9)

0 = 61...not possible
No solution.

x + 2y = 13 \\ x = 13 - 2y.........(i) \\ 4x + 8y =  - 9 ..........(ii)\\ put \: th \: alue \: of \: x \: in \: equation \: (ii) \\ 4 \times (13 - 2y)  + 8y =  - 9 \\ 2 6- 8y + 8y =  - 9 \\ 26 =  - 9 \\ same \: as \: if \: you \: put \: the \: value \: of \: y \: then \: you \: will \: get \: again \: equation \: so \: that \: according \: to \: me \: this \: equations \: solution \: is \: immpossible \:
