Given:

x+2y=13 & x-y =3

To find:

value of x and y

Solution:

x+2y=13 _________(1)

x-y =3

x= 3+y

Substituting value of x in (1).

3+y+2y = 13

3y = 13-3

3y = 10

y = 10/3

x= 3+ 10/3

x= (9+10)/3

x= 19/3
