x - 2y - 4 = 0)--------(1)

2x + y = 3)----------(2)

from equation (1)

  • x - 2y - 4 = 0
  • x = 2y + 4 )-----(3)

putting equation (3) in (2)

  • 2x + y = 3
  • 2(2y + 4) + y = 3
  • 4y + 8 + y = 3
  • 5y + 8 = 3
  • 5y = 3-8
  • 5y = -5
  • y = -1

from here we got value of y = -1

putting value of y in equation (3)

  • x = 2(-1) + 4
  • x = -2 + 4
  • x = 2

is the required answer !!
