Step-by-step explanation:

x+2y=7 (equation 1)

3x+5y=10(equation 2)

multiplying by 3in equation 1

3x+6y=21(equation 3)

subtracting equation 3from 1

3x+ 6y=21

-3x+5y=10

_________

y=11

put the value of y in equation in 1

x+2×11=7

x+22=7

x=7-22

x= -15

Given :-

x-2y=7. .......(1)

3x+5y=10. .......(2)

From eqn (1)

x-2y=7

x=7+2y. ......(3)

Putting the value of x in eqn (2)

3x+5y=10

3(7+2y)+5y=10

21+6y+5y=10

21+11y=10

11y=10-21

11y=-11

y=-11/11

y=-1

Putting the value of y in eqn (3)

x=7+2y

x=7+2(-1)

x=7-2

x=5

Therefore, x=5

y=-1
