We substitute x=2, in the given relation.

We obtain 3x−5=3(2)−5=6−5=1,

which is the left hand side or LHS. But the right hand side or RHS is 19.

Since 1= 19, we see that LHS is not equal to RHS for x=2

Hence x=2 is not a solution
