Given :

x + 4y + 3z = 2,  2x – 6y + 6z = –3,  5x – 2y + 3z = –5

To Find : Solve  for x , y and z with the help of determinant method.

Solution:

x + 4y + 3z = 2,

2x – 6y + 6z = - 3

5x – 2y + 3z = –5

x=\frac{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}2&4&3\\-3&-6&6\\-5&-2&3\end{array}\right| }{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}1&4&3\\2&-6&6\\5&-2&3\end{array}\right| }

=> x = -168/168  = - 1

y=\frac{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}1&2&3\\2&-3&6\\5&-5&3\end{array}\right| }{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}1&4&3\\2&-6&6\\5&-2&3\end{array}\right| }

y = 84/168  = 1/2

z=\frac{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}1&4&2\\2&-6&-3\\5&-2&-5\end{array}\right| }{ \left|\begin{array}{ccc}1&4&3\\2&-6&6\\5&-2&3\end{array}\right| }

z = 56/168  = 1/3

x = - 1  , y = 1/2  , z  = 1/3
