x+7-\frac{8x}{5} = \frac{17}{6} -\frac{5x}{2} \\\\\frac{5x+35-8x}{5} = \frac{17-15x}{6} \\\\\frac{-3x+35}{5} = \frac{17-15x}{6} \\\\-18x+210=85-75x\\\\210-85=-75x+18x\\\\125 = -57x\\\\x= \frac{125}{-57}\:\:\: or\:\:\: \frac{-125}{57}

x+7 -8x/5=17/6-5x/2

(5x+35-8x/5)=(34-30x/12)

(35-3x/5)=(34-30x/12)

12(35-3x)=(34-30x)5

420-36x=170-150x

-36x+150x=170-420

114x=-250

x=-250/114=-125/57
