Solve x and Y 3x-7y+10=0 and y-2x-3=0

Answer:

x = -1 , y = 1

Solution:

Substitution Method:

We have ,

3x-7y+10 = 0 ---(1)

and

y-2x-3=0

\implies y = 2x+3--(2)

Substitute (2) in equation (1), we get

3x-7(2x+3)+10=0

=> 3x-14x-21+10=0

=>-11x-11=0

=> -11x=11

=> x = \frac{11}{-11}

=> x = -1

substitute x=-1 value in equation (2) , we get

y = 2(-1)+3

=> y = -2+3

=> y = 1

Therefore,

x=-1, y = 1
