Solve x and y: x+6/y=6, 3x-8/y=5

x+6/y = 6 ----------------(1)
3x-8 /y = 5 --------------(2)
let's do , (1)÷(2) --------
x+6/y ÷ 3x-8/y = 6÷5
or, x+6/3x-8 = 6/5
or, 5x+30 = 18x- 48
or, 30+48 = 18x-5x
or, 13x = 78
or, x = 6 ---------(3)
now, we put the value of x in (1)
x+6/y = 6
or, 6+6/y = 6
or, 12/y = 6
or,6y = 12
or, y = 2
The value x = 6 and y = 2
