$2y+\frac{x}{3}$=5

To Find

The value of X and y

by elimination method

Solution

=>2x+y=8_____(1)

=>X+6y=15____(2)

Multiply by 2 in Equation 2

2x+12y=30

2x+y=8

_______

8y=22

$\therefore\:y=\frac{22}{8}$

$\therefore\:y=\frac{11}{4}$

Putting the Value y in Equation (2)

33/2+x=15

=>X=15-33/2

X=-3/2
