\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

x+y=0---(1)

2x-y= 9----(2)

From equation 1

we get x = -y---(3)

Now ,put Equation 3 into Equation 2

=> 2(-y) -y= 9

=> -2y-y= 9

=> -3y= 9

=> y = -3

Put y's value into equation 3

=> x= -y

=> x= -(-3)= 3

=> x= 3

Check:

=> 2x-y= 9

=> 2(3)-(-3)

=> 6+3= 9

since, LHS = RHS( verified)

More information=>

Substitution method is a way of solving the Equation in which we substitute one value and put into another equation to find out the another value.
