Solve : x+y = 10 , x-y =2​

Answer:

x+y=10....…1

x-y=2.........2. diving it

2x=12

x=6

putting the value of x in equation 1

6+y=10

y=10-6

y=4

x+y=10....(i)

x-y=2......(ii)

by elimination method we get

x+y=10

x-y=2

.............

2x=12

x=6

from eq(ii) we get

x-y=2

6-y=2

-y=2-6

-y=-4 ( minus and minus get cancelled )

hence , y=4

therefore

x=6

and y=4
