solve.. x+y-14=0 and x-y-4=0 by using sub-method

SOLVING (BY METHOD OF SUBSTITUTION)

x + y - 14 = 0

=> x = 14 - y .......(1)

Again,

x - y - 4 = 0

=> x - y = 4

=> (14 - y) - y = 4 [ From (1)]

=> 14 - y - y = 4

=> - 2y = 4 - 14

=> - 2y = - 10

=> y = - 10/- 2

=> y = 5

Then,

x = 14 - y = 14 - 5 = 9

Therefore,
-----------------

x = 9

y = 5
