5x + 3y = -2 -------(1)

x+y =-2 ×(5)

5x + 5y = -10 ---------(2)

(2) - (1) ,

2y = -8

y = -4

So, x = -2-y = -2+4 = 2

Answer:

x =-2-y ----------->eq(1)

5x+3y=-2----------eq(2)

Step-by-step explanation:

substitute eq 1 in eq 2

===>. 5(-2-y)+3y =-2

-10-5y+3y =-2

-10 -2y = -2

-2y= -2+10

-2y =8

y=8/-2

Y = -4

NOW, SUBSTITUTE "Y" VALUE IN EQ (1)

======================================

==>. x+y =-2

x+(-4)=-2

x-4 = -2

x = -2+4

X = 4

HOPE IT HELPS :)
