Solve x-y=4,x+y=10and find p when y=3x-p

Answer:

x-y=4 --------> 1

x+y=10 --------> 2

Adding eq.1& 2-

x-y=4

+x+y=10

2x=14

x=14/2

x=7

put this value in eq.2

x+y=10

7+y=10

y=10-7

y=3

and if we have to use these value in 2nd part then the answer is

y=3x-p

p=3x-y

p=3(7)-3

p=21-3

p=18
