Solve : x + y = 6 and x - y = 2​

X+Y=6.... equation 1

X-Y=2........ equation 2

Solving by elimination

Adding equation 1 a2

X+Y=6

X-Y=2

2X =8

X=4

Finding Y by subtracting in equation 1

X+Y=6 Y=6-X

Y=6-4

Y=2
