x+y=7

multiple by 3 on both sides

3x+3y=21 eq.1

2x-3y=9 eq.2

adding eq.1 and eq.2

so,

3x+3y=21

2x-3y=9

5x=30

x=6

put the value of X in 1 or 2

2x-3y=9

2(6)-3y=9

12-3y=9

3y=12-9

y=1

X=6

Y=1
