x^2-4x+1

by using quadratic formula

the quadratic formula states that

$x = \frac{ - b (+ -) \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}$

so here a=1,b=-4 and c = 1

therefore

x=(4±√16-4)/2

=(4±2√3)/2

2±√3

therefore 2 roots are

2+√3 and 2-√3
