By hit and trial method, we observe that (1) is a zero of the equation.Hence, x - 1 is one of the factor.
x³ - 3x² + 3x - 1
= x³ - x² - 2x² + 2x + x - 1
= x²(x - 1) -2x ( x-1) +1(x-1)
= (x² - 2x +1) (x-1)
=(x-1)² (x - 1)
= (x - 1)³
Hence, the roots of the equation are equal and is 1.
