x + 3y = 6 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (1) \\ 2x - 3y = 12  \:  \:  \:  \: (2)\\ from \: eq.1 \\ x = 6 - 3y \\ put \: this \: value \: of \: x \: in \: eq.2 \\ 2(6 - 3y)   - 3y = 12 \\ 12 - 6y - 3y = 12 \\ y = 0 \\ now \: put \: y = 0 \: in \: eq.1 \: then \: we \: get \\ x = 6
x=6
y=0

x +3y = 6(1)
(2x - 3y = 12(2).
