Let the present age of Vijay be x years

So, Sanjay's age will be 3x

After 5 years,

Age of Vijay = x + 5

Age of Sanjay = 3x + 5

According to the given condition

2(x + 5) = 3x + 5

☛ 2x + 10 = 3x + 5

☛ 10 - 5 = 3x - 2x

☛ 5 = x

∴ x = 5

∴ Present age of Vijay ☛ x years

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\tt{5\:years}}}}

∴ Present age of Sanjay ☛ 3x years

☛ 3 × 5

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\tt{15\:years}}}}

let the present age of Vijay be x

then present age of Sanjay = 3x

After 5 years, age of Vijay =x+5

After 5 years, age of Sanjay = 3x+5

According to question,

2(x+5) = 3x+5

2x+10 =3x+5

3x-2x = 10-5

x = 5

present age of Vijay = 5 years

present age of Sanjay = 3x = 3×5 =15years
