Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. of students be x and amount to each student be ₹ y

Total amount distributed us. xy

Acc. to first condition

(x+10) (y-2)= xy

xy+ 10y -2x -20 =xy

10y - 2x = 20

÷2

-x + 5y = 10...... (I)

Acc. second condustion

(x-15 ) (y+6)=xy

xy +6x -15y- 90= xy

2x - 5y =30...(II)

Adding. (I) n (II)

x = 40

Substitute x = 40 in equ (I)

y= 10

Total amount = 40× 10= ₹400

No. of students = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

let amount distributed among boys be x rupees

no. of boys be y .

from first condition ,

(x-2)(y+12) = xy

x (y+12) -2(y+12) = xy

xy +12x -2y-24= xy

12x - 2y -24 = xy

12x -2y =24

dividing both sides by 2 we get,

6x - y = 12 .............1

from second condition ,

(x+ 6) (y- 15) = xy

x(y-15) +6(y- 15) = xy

xy - 15x + 6y- 90 = xy

-15x + 6y = 90

dividing both sides by 3

-5x + 2y = 30 ................2

multiplying 1 by 2

12x - 2y = 24 ............3
