Some animals have a thick coat of hair on their body. These hair give a fibre ‘X’ which is
used for making cardigans after suitable treatment. ‘X’ traps a lot of ‘Y’ which prevents
the body heat of these animals from being lost to surroundings. The coat of hair is removed
from the animals at the beginning of the season ‘Z’.
i) Identify ‘X’ and ‘Y’.
ii) Name the season ‘Z'.
iii) Why do these animals have a thick coat of hair on their body?
